Stella and Anya

Party on Wayne! Party on Garth!

Little Wild Child
Best Friends Forever

Barbeque at the Suttons, lots of fun times for babies and wine and filets for mommies and daddies. We had so much fun tonight! Stella kept looking over at Anya when they were in the bath like, I don't know why you are here, but I like it!! Ms. Jan says that Anya keeps Stella calm and happy. They even take their naps together at day care. She is kind of Stella's rock! I am just so glad she has a soul friend. xoxo

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent the Memorial Day weekend in Rogers. On Saturday the pinnacle pool, and on Sunday we spent a little time on the boat on Beaver Lake. Stella thought she was a sailor! She really likes the pool the best, though. Then on Monday we hung out at the FAC pool... Stella walked around the 1 1/2 foot pool and squealed the whole time because she was hanging with the big kids! She was so happy. We had such a fun time, it felt like we were on vacation. I think we run off of sun energy!!

Concert in Gulley Park

Tonight we went to Gulley Park to see Ultrasuede play all of our funky old school favorites with Addie, Anya, Dana, Rhett, Amber and Isabel. We loaded up the Radio Flyer and trucked it from our car to a prime location in front of the band. The girls ate tons of snacks and us mommies sipped on a little chardonnay we snuck in (shhh don't tell!) We also hung out with Seth, Laura and Kohnly, Courtney and Mac, Sandra and Sarah Wesley, Brook and Grayson, and Lisa and Trenton. Stella was a little socialite as usual, making rounds at all of the blankets with babies or kids, scavenging for snacks or cell phones to swipe. We all had so much fun! I can't wait until the next one. See you guys there! xoxo

superwoman

nThe other day we went swimming at Misty's pool. It was Stella's first time to swim in a pool, but by the end of the day she was jumping to me from the side. I had to put this picture up because I think that these baby floatie swimsuits are hilarious. She looks like a mini superwoman with that built in chest!! I got her some water wings, that should be pretty funny, too. She will be bobbing around the pool like a buoy! Can't wait for this Memorial Day weekend to try it all out! x0x0

stella's new artwork

I just finished this painting and I was so excited I had to post a picture of it. Lynne gave Stella a copy of the book for her birthday, and I loved it so much that I decided to paint the cover for her room! I changed 'fancy nancy' to just fancy, so it works for anyone. If you are not familiar with this book, it is about a little girl named Nancy who loves all things Fancy. She decides to teach her family to be fancy by giving them lessons. I feel like this pretty much sums up Stella....
teaching us how to be fabulous!! xoxo

summer's here!

she kept putting her face right in the spray
she was having so much fun!!
she found her daddy's beer

laying out
well, we just had to enjoy this gorgeous weekend. We turned on the sprinklers
and put out a little splash pad for stella. This was her first time to really get
to play in the sprinklers, and she loved it!! She kept putting her
face down into the baby pool trying to drink the water.
So cute! I am seeing a summer outside for us......

Happy Mother's Day!

We spent the first part of mother's day out at the Roaring River in Missouri. It was a beautiful day, but a bit windy. We cooked out and laid around in the sun. Stella was all over the place, chasing after the Baggo beanbags and touching the fish that her daddy caught fly fishing. I also tried fly fishing for the first time... it was so hard! Taylor gave me a beautiful little gold necklace with a bumblebee on it ( for you know who) and then we rounded out the day with dinner at bonefish. It was a wonderful day!! I am so lucky! I am so thankful for my mom and Tay's mom, who we got to spend the day with as well. They do things for me every day, not just on mothers day. Have a good day, everyone!!! xoxo

Go, Diego, Go!

Stella is now completely in love with Diego. For those of you who don't know, Diego is Dora's cousin who rescues animals every morning on nick jr. So we were sitting at dinner the other night, having just watched a quick episode, and Stella started saying Diego! So of course we were sooooo proud because she is starting to say so many words. Then I was thinking, well MAYBE she is watching this show a little too much! I know it is an annoying show to me, but she just is starting to really get into it. I guess she is learning something from it. She will probably start speaking spanish and then we will really have trouble keeping up with her!!! xoxo

We Love Gardening!

Ok, I am kidding. I don't really garden. It just looked like we were. Stella and I sat out in front of the house on Monday and soaked up some rays (wearing spf 70, of course) and watched the puppies run around. Daddy washed his car so we got to play in the spray some, too. I can't wait until it is warm every day! I am sure we will be having lots of after-work margaritas. Oh well! Who wants to join me?? xoxo

Monday, May 5, 2008

We went over to the Brezinski's for a little playtime on Sunday. The girls served us apples, crackers and juice from the bar at Anya's Cafe (her new playhouse she got for her
birthday). It was such a beautiful day!! Stella was worn out. She fell asleep the minute
I put her in the car. We love the weekend! xoxo

Hats or bows?

Shopping for derby hats....
The Pebbles ponytail with one big bow.....
an old favorite hat...........
Anyone who knows me and Stella knows that I am obsessed with big huge headbands with flowers, bows on ponytails, and anything glittery, feathery, or all around girly that I can put on Stella. At the last few baby showers I have been to, if they get a flower headband, everyone says "just like Stella! haha!" So I thought I should say that I like hats, too. I actually really, really love hats. I have way too many, and so does my tiny! I think everyone should wear them more often! So what do you think? Hats or bows?
